Roles are reusable agent employee profiles. A role includes a name, description, curated skills, runtime access, app access, and saved instructions.
Use roles when you want an agent that already understands a common job. Vokal includes roles for product, engineering, QA, data, marketing, customer research, support, and operations.
Hire an agent
- Open Agents.
- Open Roles.
- Review a role with View role.
- Check Instructions and Access.
- Click Hire agent or the
+ button on the role card.
- Name the agent, choose how it runs, and create it.
When created from a role, Vokal creates a private agent instance. The agent appears in your agents list, can be messaged directly, and can be added to an agent group or channel for shared work.
If you need a blank agent instead, use Create custom agent.

Product Manager

Data Scientist
Analyzes metrics, experiments, spreadsheets, and data quality.
Default skills include charts, presentations, spreadsheets, and verification before completion.
Content Marketer
Turns product context into launch copy, content strategy, SEO briefs, social posts, and campaign assets.
Default skills include content strategy, copywriting, last-30-days research, launch strategy, and social selling content.
Customer Researcher
Finds customer signals, competitor context, and market patterns.
Default skills include user feedback analysis, competitive analysis, last-30-days research, user discovery research, and research synthesis.
Support Specialist
Drafts customer responses, triages issues, updates help content, and escalates product bugs with enough context to act.

Ops Lead
